Henry Cannington, Jr.

Dear Pastor,

I know it is your vision to provide your youth with the best possible summer camp experience. With this heartbeat in mind, I want to pass along to you what I discovered to be God's answer for this pastoral dream.

Eight years ago God led us to send our youth to an exciting and evangelistic camp called Go Tell. God took our youth that week and turned them into students of God's Word and sowers of the gospel seed. I soon learned, however, that not only were our youth equipped to spread the gospel, but our adults were electrified by this transformed youth group. Go Tell ignited our people with the fact that the gospel is something we are to go and tell and not just a truth we are to come and hear.

Rick Gage Ministries through their Go Tell camp allows your youth and counselors to learn each year from some of the finest teachers of God's Word and youth workers. Men such as Josh McDowell, Danny Lovett, Kenny St John, Paige Patterson and Rick Gage are just some the people God uses in this life-changing camp. Each year this week becomes an encounter with God for our youth and then the excitement transcends to the entire church.

After eight years of our youth attending this camp, several of our young men and women are now serving the Lord in full-time ministry and missions. Experiencing the joy of sending out God-called individuals into the ministry makes this camp extra special to me.

Because God uses the Go Tell camp in such a powerful way, I encourage you to prayerfully consider this fine summer camp experience for your youth. If your youth were to take in the Go Tell camp this year, I believe you will find this experience just what your youth and church needed. Like us here at CBC, it may become a yearly appointment with God.

Expecting Great Things from Him,

Henry B. Cannington, Jr.
