We recently had the opportunity for the staff and students at Myrtle Beach High to experience a presentation by Mr. Rick Gage. The entire program presented by Mr. Gage was high energy and realistic. Our students were most attentive and listened to the message that the speaker came to share. I talked with several of our students after the program and they were very complimentary about Mr. Gage and his program.
The message that Coach Gage shared was that concerning the importance of making good decisions in regards to the use of drugs and alcohol. He also shared several stories about misuse of drugs and alcohol and how it had affected the lives of so many students, coaches and players that he had been involved with.
As principal, I was very pleased with his program and would personally highly endorse it for high school students throughout our country. I am confident that only good things can occur for our students as a result of this experience.
