Dear Mr. Gage,
Pearland Junior High School has offered many assembly programs over the twenty years since it moved into the present site. Overall the faculty and students have been pleased with the variety and content of the programs.
I am writing to let you know that the response to your On Track presentation has been simply tremendous. You, Mr. Gage, are an outstanding communicator. You offered our students much to think about, and most importantly, offered students the "words" and "reasons" they will be able to use to resist peer pressure.
I received a great deal of positive feed-back from our staff members as students continued to carry their good feelings throughout the day. The teachers also commented that they could not remember when student behavior problems at an assembly were virtually nonexistent.
Your program is an excellent one and you offered our school a practical lesson about one of the most challenging problems of our professions - drugs. My thanks go out to you for your professionalism and to the First Baptist Church of Pearland for underwriting this program for our school.
